Privacy Notice

Last updated 26 October 2026

This notice explains what personal data Show Presenter and this web site use, why, and the choices and rights you have.

Who we are

Show Presenter is made by Digital Entertainer Limited, a company registered in England and Wales, number 05687461, whose registered office is at 2 Beacon End Courtyard, London Road, Stanway, Colchester, CO3 0NU, United Kingdom. We're the controller of the personal data described here, except for the payment details Paddle collects, as explained below.

For anything about your data, email support@sax-n-dotty.co.uk.

What we collect, and why

When you buy Show Presenter

Paddle, our reseller and Merchant of Record, runs the checkout. It collects your name, email address, billing address and payment details, and handles them under its own privacy notice. We never see your card details.

Paddle tells us your email address, its reference numbers for you and your order, what you bought, and any refund. We use these to give you your licence key, email it to you, answer your questions, and handle refunds. We do this to carry out our contract with you, and to keep the business records the law requires.

If you bought before licence keys

We keep the records of Show Presenter purchases made through our earlier order system: the order number, your name and email address, how many PCs it was for, and when you bought it. We use them so you can swap your order for a licence key, and to help you with your purchase. We do this to carry out our contract with you.

A copy registered the old way, with an order number, was registered through our earlier registration service, which keeps the order number, email address and codes identifying the PC it was registered on. These are used only to register and deregister that copy.

Your licence

When you register Show Presenter with a licence key, and from time to time afterwards to check it, the app sends our licence server:

We keep these with the dates the licence was registered and last checked. We use them to check that a licence is used on no more PCs than it allows. We do this to carry out our contract with you, and because we have a legitimate interest in preventing misuse of the licence.

Updates

Show Presenter's updater checks this web site for a new version. Like any visit to a web site, that sends your IP address; we don't use it to identify you.

Emails

When you email us, we keep the emails to answer you and for our records. If you send us Show Presenter's error log to help us fix a problem, we use it only for that.

Visiting this web site

Like all web sites, ours receives your IP address and details of your browser to send you its pages and protect itself from attacks. We don't use them to identify you or to follow what you do.

What stays on your PC

Show Presenter keeps your song list, queue, singers' history and settings on your own PC. They aren't sent to us, except the licence details above.

The 15-day trial is kept on your PC too: nothing about it is sent to us.

Who we share it with

We don't sell personal data, or share it for advertising. We share it only with:

Transfers outside the UK

Our web site and database are in the UK. Where one of our providers handles personal data outside the UK, it's protected as UK data protection law requires: either the country is covered by UK adequacy regulations, or the provider is bound by the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU's Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

Keeping it safe

This web site only works over a secure (HTTPS) connection. Access to our systems is limited to the people who need it, and licences are signed so they can't be forged.

Cookies

We don't use cookies for analytics or advertising. On the pricing page, Paddle's checkout may set cookies needed for payments and to prevent fraud: see Paddle's privacy notice.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

To use any of these rights, email support@sax-n-dotty.co.uk. We'll reply within one month. If you're not happy with how we've used your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113, though we'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Changes

We'll update this notice when what we do changes. The date at the top says when it last changed.
